Dies Of Injuries

Youth Killed When Car Strikes Three-Three Others Hurt.

Laporte, Ind., Aug. 28.-(AP)-JOHN JAMES, 17, of Winamac died today in a hospital here of injuries received last night, when the automobile he was driving crashed into a tree near Bass Lake.

Three other occupants of the car are in the hospital with serious injuries. They are: Leslie James, 19, brother of the boy killed; Estelle Folenga, 18, of Chicago; and Helen Gasperee, 16, living near Knox. Two others in the car suffered slight injuries.

The party was bound for a dance hall near Bass Lake. The driver apparently lost control of the car.
