Muncie, IN Midland Steel Mill Accident, Jan 1903
Drawn Into Roller.
Feet and Legs Passed Through Crushing Them Horribly.
MUNCIE, Ind, Jan.. 31.—WILLIAM HOLLIS, a steel worker, was drawn into the rolls at the Midland Steel mill last night and probably fatally injured. His feet and legs passed through the rolls and his abdomen was crushed. A moment more, had not the machinery been stopped by Engineer NEISWANGER, his chest and head would have been drawn through and his life crushed out.
