Explosion at Whiting.

Whiting, Ind., Aug 10. -- The City of Whiting was rocked today by an explosion of a tar still in the Standard Oil Company plant. Fire followed and led to wild rumors of enormous loss of life. Company officials said no one was injured. The flames were smothered with live steam applied by the company fire department.
