A TOTAL LOSS.

Terre Haute, April 9. -- Fire was discovered in the state normal school this morning. Eight hundred pupils were in the building at the time and all got out safely with only a portion of their books and wraps. All efforts of the fire department were unavailing and in one hour the massive structure was in ruins. In pursuance with the policy of the state there was no insurance on the structure. It cost $189,000.
