BAD FIRE AT GALESBURG.

Galesburg, Ill., Dec. 16. -- The four-story HOLMES office building was destroyed by fire last evening.
Chemical combustion in the office of a physician on the second floor is given as the cause of the fire. The loss is $75,000. About 200 tenants were forced to flee from the building and many narrow escapes were recorded.
