2/27/1876 Moved NE, destroying 11 homes, two churches, and a school in the western part of New Douglas. At one church, where services were in progress, the preacher was killed and many other people injured. Five people were injured in the Masonic Hall. The storm "chased and hit a funeral procession", destroying the vehicles and killing two people in a home where they had sought shelter.
