Tampico, IL Tornado, Nov 1908

A tornado hit the eastern edge of Tampico, Illinois on Wednesday, November 25, 1908 at 7 p.m. Many barns, windmills, and out buildings were turned over, smashed and demolished. Dwellings suffered a small amount of damage. Luckily, no one was injured and no livestock was killed.

Some of the residents reporting damages: Hellier, Jacobs, Jacobson, Moody, Johnson, Winans, Darnell, Baker, Ickhard, McGuire, Gifford, Peterson, Wensel, Allen, McCombs, Scotchbrook, Haney, Dillon, Nelson, Winchell, Corde.
