Santa Fe Passenger Train Collides with Construction Train-One Killed, Seven Fatally Injured.

Chicago, Ill., July 18.-One man was killed, another fatally injured and twenty persons were hurt today, several seriously, in a collision between a southbound construction train with a northbound passenger train on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad one and on-half miles north of Romeo, Ill. Killed: WILLIAM KOLK, messenger for Wells-Fargo Express.

Fatally Injured:
DAVID YOUNG, signalman.

The boiler of the passenger train exploded immediately after the collision. The smoking car was telescoped and two other cars were derailed.
