Jerseyville, IL Fatal Mule Accident, Aug 1910

Jerseyville.---A kick by a mule proved fatal to Samuel Stone, residing eight miles east of Jerseyville, who died as a result of injuries inflicted by the animal. Stone went from his home to catch a horse. While engaged at work a mule standing near kicked him a vicious blow in the stomach. Stone was able to ride back to the house on his horse, but became suddenly ill and died. The decedent was twenty-five years old and was well-known in Jersey county.
