Hobson of Merrimac Fame, Comes to Young Lady's Recue.

St. Louis, July 16.---Captain Richmond P. Hobson, of Merrimac fame, rescued Miss May Cerf, a young lady well-known in St. Louis society from drowning in the Mississippi river to-day opposite the Chautauqua grounds near Alton, Ill. Miss Cerf was standing on the deck yacht and losing her balance, fell into the stream. Hobson, who to the young lady a rescue and caught her as she was going down the second time.
