Antioch, IL Train Accident Sept 1912

Fireman Ed. Farrell Falls From the Engine Tank and Injures His Back---
About 10 o'clock Saturday night Fireman ED. FARRELL, residing at the Park hotel, North Fond du Lac, fell from the tank of a locomotive at Antioch, Ill., and sustained painful injuries to his back. FARRELL was firing an extra east, and had gone out onto the tank to attend to filling it with water. He was brought home on No. 7 and taken to the hospital. FARRELL at first lost control of his limbs, but he has since regained the use of them and his injuries are not considered serious.
