FIVE ARE KILLED AS TWO AUTOS COLLIDE.

Hooppole, Ill., Feb. 24. -- (AP) -- A headon crash of two automobiles near here last night brought death to five persons, including LOUIS C. KOLLS, 44, former American League umpire.
The other dead, all members of an Erie, Ill., family, were CHARLES TAETS, 73, and his 70 year old wife; CAMIEL TAETS, 45, a brother of CHARLES, and ALBERT TAETS, 30, son of CHARLES.
KOLLS was released from the American League last year after eight seasons' service. He had signed a contract to umpire in the American Association. KILLS also had served as arbiter in the International, Western and Pacific Coast Leagues.
