Alsey, IL Tornado, May 1880

Alsey, Scott County, Ill., May 10.--- This place was struck by a cyclone at 7 o'clock Sunday evening and almost entirely demolished. The losses are as follows:
WM. NEAT'S brick store; badly wrecked.
THOS. ROBERTS brick store; entirely destroyed.
H. M. HUNT & CO'S. Two large warehouses, filled with gaain[sic]; entirely destroyed.
GEO. EBEY'S pottery; badly wrecked.

About ten other buildings were badly destroyed.
