NEWSPAPER OFFICE BURNS.
The Peoria Journal Suffers Heavy Losses by Fire.
Peoria, Ill., Feb. 5.---Fire which originated in the telegraph office of The Peoria Journal Office early today did considerable damage to that paper, which is lodged in the Grand Opera House building.
The telegraph office, editorial rooms and H. M. Pindell's private office were entirely gutted. City Electrician Lyons state that the fire was caused by wires being crossed on account of the heavy winds.
The German Democrat situated on the lower floor was flooded with water, but no other damage was done to the opera house proper.
