Pocatello, ID Airplane Crash, Sept 1928
Probe Air Crash Fatal to Seven
Pocatello, Ida., Sept. 5. – Officials of the National Park Airways, today were investigating the crash of their tri-motored passenger plane which resulted in the death of seven persons here yesterday.
The dead:
PAUL WHEATLY, pilot; W. A. McLEAN, representative of Liberty Magazine; JAMES F. RICHARDS, secretary of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce:
M. A. TIMMERMAN, Ogden, Utah, newspaperman;
MRS. MONA SCHAPER, Salt Lake, and her two children, PAUL, age six and RAMONA, (illegible) months.
The plane fell about 150 feet after it had apparently banked too sharply.
