DISASTROUS FIRE AT BUTTE
BUTTE, April 10.--Fire started by a spark from an engine dropping in loose hay in a feed store destroyed property valued at $300,000 this afternoon in South Butte. An entire block was wiped out, the heaviest losers being the Stone, Ordean & Wells Grocery company, $150,000; The Daly Bank & Trust company, $50,000. Fourteen dwellings and flats were totally destroyed, 10 others partially destroyed, and 25 families rendered homeless. Among the larger structures burned was the Olsen hotel and lodging house.
