Big Fire at Marietta, Ga.

Atlanta Ga., Dec 24 – A special from Marietta, Ga., says the plant of the Georgia Manufacturing and Public Service company, including the Marietta Paper mill is burning.

Already a loss of $250,000 has been caused. The fire is not yet under control, and heavier loss is threatened.

Big Fire at Marietta.

Paper Mill Destroyed—Loss Estimated at $250,000.

Marietta, Ga., Dec. 24.—The plant of the Georgia Manufacturing and Public Service company, which supplies the city with water and electric lights, was badly damaged, and the Marietta paper mill, owned and operated by the public service company, was practically destroyed by fire today. The loss is placed at $250,000, fully insured.

Plant supplying Electric Light and Water Destroyed.

[illegible], Ga., Dec 24,--Practically the entire plant of the Georgia Manufacturing and Public Service Company, including the well known Marietta Paper Mills, electric lighting plant and other industries was wiped out by a disastrous fire which broke out this morning about 2 o’clock.

This company supplied the electric lights and water service to the people of Marietta.
