Pleasant Hill, GA Cow Milking Accident, Jan 1889

A singular and sad accident occurred near Pleasant Hill, in Dallas county, a few days since. Mrs. Campbell, who was living near the hill, had a pet cow that she was in the habit of milking herself. She went out to the lot to milk the animal, as usual, and was placing her feed in a box, when the cow suddenly raising its head, thrust its horn in Mrs. Campbell's mouth, penetrating in an upward direction and coming out just under her eye. The wound is of a most serious nature, and fears are entertained that it may prove fatal.
