BOATS IN MONTEZUMA STREET.

Flint River Overflows----Several Business Houses Flooded.

Montezuma, Ga., February 15.---(Special)---Owing to the heavy rainfall north of this place, the Flint river is higher than it has been for many years. Older citizens say it is as high, if not higher, than it has ever been. A good many of the business houses built in the lower edge of town are several feet in water this morning. Dooly street, which runs across Beaver creek, has to be crossed in boats. However, no damage has been done to bridges.

The Atlanta Constitution, Atlanta, GA 16 Feb 1900
