EIGHT MEN DIE IN GEORGIA CRASH.

Milledgeville, Ga., (AP) -- A car-truck crash on Georgia 22, killed eight men, all but one from the small Georgia community of Haddock.
State Trooper RICHARD BROWN said the car, carrying seven persons, apparently crossed the center line of the dry highway Sunday night.
The victims were identified as JAMES ALFRED SIMMONS, 28, driver of the truck; WILLIE THOMAS RIDDLEBROOKS, 32; JAMES MIDDLEBROOKS, 29; ROBERT MIDDLEBROOKS, 31; JOSEPH POUNDS, JR., 29; WILLILAM POUNDS, 26; and THOMAS BANKS, 27, all of Haddock, and FRANK KING, JR., 39 of Macon, Ga.

GEORGIA CAR-TRUCK CRASH.

Haddock, Ga. (UPI) -- Eight persons were killed Sunday night in the collision of a speeding car and a pickup truck on a hill near this central Georgia community, the state patrol said.
State Trooper R. M. RHODES, said the car in the Haddock collision was traveling at a high rate of speed and apparently crossed the center line of the highway into the path of the pickup truck driven by JAMES A. SIMMONS of Haddock.
SIMMONS was alone in the truck. The other seven victims included the driver of the car, ROBERT MIDDLEBROOKS of Macon, and six passengers.
