AUTOMOBILE HITS WAGON

Andy Thornton, a Negro, Is Bruised and Wagon Demolished.

Andy Thornton, a negro, was badly bruised yesterday afternoon about 3:30 o'clock when an automobile, which is said to have been driven by a woman, ran into a light spring wagon which he was driving, and threw him to the pavement, demolishing the wagon. The accident took place near the corner of Georgia avenue and College street.

C. F. Pearce, who employs the negro, took him to the office of Dr. Webb, where it was found that his injuries were not serious.

The name of the driver of the car was not learned, but the machine is said to have contained two women and two men and was driven by one of the women.
