Quincy, FL Railroad Accident, Feb 1885
RAILROAD ACCIDENT IN FLORIDA.
Jacksonville, Fla., Feb. 6. -- An accident occurred on the Florida Central and Western Railroad this morning three miles east of Quincy. A sleeper was thrown from the track by a broken rail, and turned bottom upward. MR. KENDALL, of Pittsfield, Ill., had his hip and back injured. S. R. GODFREY, of Rockford, Ill., was slightly injured and narrowly escaped being smothered, and N. S. ROBINSON, of the same place, was bruised on the head, but not seriously. One unknown man had his hand crushed, and another his foot. Six others were injured slightly. No one was killed.
