Rochester, MN Kitchen Range Explosions, Jan 1912
ESCAPE RANGE EXPLOSION.
Rochester, Minn., Jan. 12.---Two Rochester families had narrow escapes from serious injuries as the results of explosions both of a similar nature, and both occurring nearly at the same time. The unusual occurrences took place at the homes of A. L. Topgood and S. W. Dale, when the water fronts in their ranges exploded, tearing the stoves to pieces and demolishing other bits of furniture in the kitchens of the respective homes. In both instances, members of the families had just left the room when the explosions occurred.
The Grand Forks Daily Herald, Grand Forks, ND 13 Jan 1912
