Hull, QB Dynamite Explosion, Dec 1894

FIVE KILLED BY EXPLODING DYNAMITE.

Ottawa, Ont., Dec. 5. -- Five men were killed and a score of people injured by an explosion of dynamite in Hull, Que. The accident occurred at the Hull water works extention, at the corner of Duke and Wall Streets.
Two boxes containing forty pounds of dynamite each did the damage. The dynamite was used for blasting purposes, and was stored in a twelve foot square cabin, which caught fire.
The dead are:
N. MARTIN, aged 36.
HENRY LAMARCHE, aged 42.
T. SEGUIN, aged 58.
MOIS BARBEAU, aged 12.
ALBERT BEAUCHAMP, aged 15.
The two boys were passing by on their way to school.
