Greenville, DE Tornado, Mar 1892
BRIDGEVILLE, Del., March 11.---The tornado and gale that passed over the lower part of Delaware last night did its worst work at Greenwood. It wrecked the barn of Simon Pennewill, causing a loss of about $2,000. John Barwick also met with a large loss on his steam mill, and the house of John Davis at St. Johnstown was entirely destroyed.
Most of the peach orchards have been badly damaged in this section. One child was badly hurt at a farmhouse near St. Johnstown, was unroofed. The spire of the church at Milford was blown off.
The New York Times, New York, NY 12 Mar 1892
