Wilmington, DE Eighth Street Market House Fire, Jul 1903
Market House Burned.
Wilmington, Del., July 28.----The large Eighth street market house was totally destroyed by fire. The structure was four stories high. The first floor was used as a market, the second floor was occupied by the executive officers of the Dupont Powder company, and the third and fourth floors. The loss is estimated at $100,000, partly covered by insurance. The carriage company is the heaviest loser.
