FIVE HURT WHEN AUTOS CRASH
Man Expected To Die—Owner Of Other Car Not Known
Wilmington, Del., Feb. 21.—Five persons were injured, one probably fatally and the others seriously, at Talleyville, near here, this afternoon when their automobile was struck by another car and overturned.
Charles H. Shffer, aged 32 years, engineer on the Philadelphia and Reading railway {ineligible} of the car, evidently suffered broken back and is expected to die. He is completely paralyzed and is badly lacerated about the face and body.
Sarah E. Shffer, his wife, of the same age, has a broken leg and serious cuts and bruises about the body.
Howard Bell, 18 years old, broken arm and is severely cut and bruised.
Young Bell’s mother and sister were also seriously bruised. Bell was driving the car.
The accident was caused by a car bearing a Pennsylvania license, the ownership of which is not known.
The victims were brought here by a chauffeur of Gen. T. Coleman du Pont, the powder magnate.
