Milford, DE Coal Oil Lamp Explosion, Aug 1885
BURNED TO DEATH.
WILMINGTON, Del., Aug. 22.---The wife of the Rev. J. S. Willis, of Milford, this State, died early this morning from burns received by an explosion of a coal-oil lamp. She was alone in the house at the time. Her daughter had been to a party, and returning home found the room on fire and mother lying on the floor so badly burned that she died in four hours.
