FIRE IN HARTFORD FOUNDRY.

Plant Damaged to Extent of $75,000----Valuable Patterns Destroyed.

HARTFORD, Sept. 6.----The plant of the Hartford Foundry Company, employing 150 hands, was seriously damaged by fire to-day, and many valuable patterns were destroyed.

Although the origin of the blaze is uncertain, an electrical wire is thought to have been the cause. The officers of the company hope to have 60 per cent of the plant in operation again within two weeks. The loss is estimated at $75,000.
