KILLED AT PLAY.

Fatal Accident by Sand Bank Caving in at Moosup, Conn.

A sad accident happened late Thursday afternoon in Moosup, Conn., by which on boy lost his life and another is in a very critical condition. As WILLIE McDOUGAL and Alfred Couchene, aged 8 and 6 years, respectively, were playing in a sand bank, suddenly a large place of the bank, which overhung them and which had probably been loosened by the heavy shower of a few hours before, caved in, completely burying the McDougal boy under a large weight of earth and stones. The Couchene boy was more fortunate, being only covered to his chin. His screams brought help and he was soon extricated. It is feared that he is hurt internally, but just how seriously has not been ascertained. The McDougal boy was dead when taken out.
