COLORADO TORNADO KILLS 9, INJURES 5
Twister Wrecks Farmhouse; Two More of Its Victims Expected to Die.
Denver, Aug. 10.-Nine persons were killed and five seriously injured late this afternoon, when a tornado demolished the farmhouse of HENRY KUNS, a farmer residing four miles east of Thurman, Colo. according to information received here tonight. It was reported that at least two of those injured would die.
The dead and injured were either residents or visitors at the KUNS farmhouse. The twister demolished the house and other buildings on the place as well as two automobiles standing in the yard.
The dead are: Four children of MR. and MRS. Joe IODER, MRS. HENRY KUNS, two children of MR. and MRS. KUNS, the REV. AMOS BURKEY, FRED GARRETT.
The injured include MR. and MRS. IODER and MRS. BURKEY and two persons whose identity is unknown.
No report of the storm having struck at any other place in the vicinity has been received here.
