3 DIE IN COLO. AIRPLANE CRASH.

Montrose, Colo. (AP) -- A plane crash in a snowstorm near the rim of the Gunnison River's Black Canyon cost three lives.
The Federal Aviation Agency began an investigation today of the crash in which Sheriff SETH WRIGHT, 53, of Utah; the pilot, LARKIN OVERTON, about 40, of Monticello, Utah, and W. R. HUDSON, 26, were killed.
HUDSON was WRIGHT'S prisoner. The sheriff was returning him to Monticello from Sherman, Tex., to face a non-support charge.
The craft apparently ran into trouble in Friday's snowstorm. A search party late Saturday found the wreckage scattered about a ravine near the east edge of the Black Canyon. Two bodies were in the wreckage and the third had been thrown some distance away.
The wreckage, which did not burn, was sighted by the pilot of one of six Civil Air Patrol planes taking part in the search.
