LIEUTENANT POST KILLED.

Member of First Aero Corps, U. S. A., Falls in San Diego.

SAN DIEGO, Feb 9. – Lieutenant H. B. Post, first aero corps, United States of America, was instantly killed by a fall of 500 feet in a hydro-aeroplane. About 150 feet from the surface of the bay Post was seen to shoot clear out of the machine. It was said by watchers that the engine exploded.

Lieutenant Post was flying for an altitude record. He had the reputation of being the best aviator in the army camp on North Island, across the bay from San Diego.
