SANTA CLARA MAN IS INJURED IN OAKLAND

Special to the Mercury Herald.

SANTA CLARA, July 25.---Vincent Roavo of Santa Clara was very badly injured this afternoon in Oakland. He left here this morning on his motor-cycle which he recently purchased to pass the day with relatives in that city and in some manner, in a collision with an electric car, he was very badly injured and his machine demolished. It is said that his condition is very serious. The Oakland police notified Marshal Fallon of the accident and he informed Roavo's cousin, who is foreman of the R. T. Pierce ranch here. The injured man has been employed at the Pierce place for some time.
