FLOOD IS UNDER CONTROL.
Southern Pacific Has Track Around Flooded Portion Nearly Done.
Los Angeles. July 29.---The flood at Salton Sea is again under control, ac-cording to District Superentendent Ingram, of the Southern Pacific, who has arrived from the scene. With Epes Randolph, Engineer Rockwood, Supt. Ingram and other experts, a thorough investigation has been made of the situation, a special train having been sent for the purpose from Los Angeles Wednesday night.
Supt. Ingram says the Southern Pacific company's "shoo fly" around its tracks now submerged will be completed in a few days. It will be between ten and twelve miles long. The Colorado river is reported falling steadily.
