Nevada Youths Are Drowned

Bodies Recovered From Tahoe; Accidental Drowning Verdict Will Be Entered By Coroner

A verdict of death by accidental drowning will be entered by Coroner A. J. ORELLI in the case of WILLIAM BEARDSLEY and WILLIAM NOE, Elko, Nevada, youths, who were drowned Sunday evening while boating near the south end of Lake Tahoe.

The young men were members of a Nevada University fraternity party at the south shore of the Lake for Sunday and were joined by MORGAN SILLS of Sacramento, in a boat ride on the lake.
A strong wind upset their craft and SILLS swam ashore seeking help, leaving the two clinging to the overturned craft. They had life preservers.

A search was instituted but failed Sunday evening to locate the boys and Monday morning the body of BEARDSLEY was found.

An inquest into his death was held Monday night at Bijou while the search for NOE'S body was continued. The coroner announced following the inquest that the verdict found in the BEARDSLEY death would be entered also in the NOE death upon the recovery of the body.

NOE'S body was found on Wednesday afternoon.

The bodies of the two boys were removed to their home city, Elko, for interment.

On the jury were George Richter, Jr., Mrs. Grace McLarnan, M. M. Fuller, Dan Rousin, J. Meyer, William McMahon, J. E. Conklin, Jr., L. R. Dieky, J. M. Conklin, Sr., and Fred W. Brenzel.
