Lake Arrowhead, CA Bomber Crash, Dec 1941

BODIES OF 9 AIR CORPS MEN TAKEN FROM WRECKAGE.

San Francisco, Jan. 16. (UP) -- The bodies of 9 air corps flyers, victims of a twin-motored bomber that disappeared Dec. 30 in the San Bernardino mountains was found near Lake Arrowhead with all nine of its occupants dead.
An inquiry board is seaking the cause of the wreck, which was the target of an intense search.
Killed in the crash near Lake Arrowhead, according to the Fourth Interceptor Command, were:

2nd Lieut. JOSEPH B. MALONEY, Waterbury, Conn.
Technical Sgt. WALDO C. JENSEN, Langley Field, Va.

Pvt. WILLIAM R. CHINN, Ironton, Pa.
Pvt. VERNON H. ENGLEBRECH, Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Pvt. GEORGE C. MAY, Foxworth, Miss.
Pvt. ROBERT N. ENYEART, Columbus, O.
Pvt. JACK C. SHIRLEY, Lavonia, Ga.
