SEVEN FRESNANS DAY AUTOS’ TOLL

Fresno, May 7--Sunday’s toll in automobile accidents here numbers seven dead, two reported dying in hospitals and another seriously injured.

Six met death near Selma when a Southern Pacific train struck an automobile on the Saginaw avenue crossing. All were relatives. The machine was thrown one hundred feet by the impact, while death to the six passengers is said to have been instantaneous.

The dead are JOHN DEMOTS, MRS. JOHN DEMOTS, EDWARD DEMOTS, all of Orange Cove, MRS. CONRAD JONGEWAARD of Merced, and DR. and MRS. JAMES W. OGGE of Orange City, Ia.

Mrs. FRANK DELANA, of Gregg, Madera county, died soon after the automobile accident on a Southern Pacific railway crossing near here.
