TEN ARMY FLIERS KILLED IN CRASH.
Blythe, Calif., Oct. 16 (AP) -- Ten Army fliers from the Blythe base were killed Friday night in the crash of their four-engine heavy bomber, which plowed into the McCoy Mountains, nine miles west of Blythe.
Army public relations announced this list of victims:
Lt. MERRILL BERNARD, pilot, Bethseda, Md.
Flight Officer DEAN M. MULEBERG, 23, co-pilot, Dayton, Pa.
Lt. ARTHUR OSBORN, 21, navigator, Fayetteville, Ark.
Lt. WILLIAM GRACE, JR., 21, Atlanta, Ga.
Sgt. WILLIS S. THURMOND, JR., 21, Atlanta, Ga.
Sgt. HOWARD E. HAZELWOOD, 19, Dexter, N.Y.
Sgt. PAUL C. GRIMM, Webster Groves, Mo.
Sgt. ORMOND E. MAY, 23, Walton, Neb.
Sgt. PAUL S. COLLEGE, 20, Greencastle, Pa.
Sgt. LEWIS J. BUESS, 34, radio operator, Forest, Ohio.
