Half Moon Bay, CA Plane Crashes into Kings Mountain, Oct 1953

October 29 – British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines Flight 304, a Douglas DC-6, crashed into King's Mountain, southeast of Half Moon Bay, California, on its approach to the San Francisco International Airport. The accident killed all 11 passengers, including American pianist William Kapell, and the crew of eight.
