DISNEY ACCIDENT KILLS 1.

Anaheim, Calif. (UPI) -- A New Mexico teenager celebrating his high school graduation and his birthday at Disneyland with his Albuquerque classmates drowned in a boating accident, officials said Saturday.
Sgt. Chet Barry said PHILLIP MARK STRAUGHAN,
18, climbed into a restricted area with a friend in Disneyland's Frontierland about 11 p.m. PDT Friday and took a motorized maintenance raft to Tom Sawyer Island without authorization.
On the way back to shore, the inflatable raft struck a rock and threw the youth overboard. STRAUGHAN'S friend, STEVEN SCHWALM, managed to swim ashore, where he notified park security his friend had not made it back to land.
