Train Wrecker Held Responsible
Hot Springs - Memphis Flyer on Rock Island Runs Into Open Switch.
Little Rock, Ark., March 15. - Eastbound Rock Island passenger train No. 6. the Hot Springs-Memphis Flyer, ran into an open switch and was wrecked at Cuneo, a loading switch station three miles west of Little Rock today. Engineer KILLCOYNE and Fireman CURRIER, both of whom lived in Argentina, Ark., were killed, and two mail clerks, an express messenger, the porter and four negro dining car waiters were injured.
At the Rock island general office in this city, it is stated that the wreck is undoubtedly the work of a train wrecker. None of the passengers were injured.
