On 3/21/1952, a category 4 (max. wind speeds 207-260 mph) tornado 21.1 miles away from the England city center killed 2 people and injured 6 people and caused between $50,000 and $500,000 in damages.

About twenty-five persons were reported injured at England.
At England, a town of about 2,140 residents twenty-five miles southeast of Little Rock, the storm dipped in at the edge of the business district on the west, veered off to the north through the residential section and destroyed virtually everything in its path.
