TRAINMEN HURT IN COLLISION.

Costly Freight Wreck Occurs in Yards at Texarkana.

Texarkana, Ark., Oct. 28.---A freight train loaded with merchandise en route west collided with a switch engine, causing a bad wreck in the local Iron Mountain yards today. Engineer C. S. Kelley of the freight train had his right foot crushed off and Fireman E. M. Kelly of the switch engine was badly scalded. He is at a local hospital and his condition is reported as serious. Engineer Ed Hurt of the switch engine was cut on the head and sustained several bad body bruises. Both engines were badly damaged and about a dozen cars were wrecked. The property damage will reach several thousand dollars. The responsibility for the accident has not been placed.
