DISASTROUS FIRE.

The Business Portion of a Town Destroyed.

HARTMAN, Ark., Nov. 7. – A disastrous fire visited this town yesterday morning and consumed nearly the entire business portion of the place. The fire originated in W. W. Rogers’ store and spread with great rapidity. Following are the losses: W. W. Rogers, general merchant, store lease and stock, loss, $6,000; no insurance. J. J. Cravens, storehouse and stock, $13,000; no insurance. A A. Burleson, drugs and groceries, $4,500; no insurance. Mrs. A. E. Vardman, two buildings, $1,500; no insurance. Mrs. V. J. Carr, general merchandise, $1,000; no insurance. Adkins’ hotel, $1,000; no insurance. Two hundred bales of cotton at the depot and the depot building, $10,000.
