Little Rock, April 7-- A cyclone struck the western portion of Faulker county Wednesday night. The storm swept the country for several miles. The house of John Hall, near Quitman, was blown to pieces. The chimney fell on and literally crushed Hall to death. The dwelling of a man named Teebles was also demolished. Nine persons in the building were injured, but none were killed. Two persons were blown some distance upon the bed on which they were sleeping when the storm struck at the house.

At Northwest Point, in White county, the family of William Kirk, consisting of himself, his wife, mother and several children, were hurled with such force against the debris that all were more or less injured. Near by, the house of Henry Jackson was blown down and with its contents, consumed by fire. The cyclone next destroyed William Davidson's barn, together with all the outbuildings and fences.

At this point it jumped the river destroying two dwellings and one barn for J. T. Young and the residence of J. V. Reynolds. The loss of property will aggregate thousands of dollars.

The house of John Hale, near Quitman, was blown to pieces and its chimney fell upon and crushed Hale to death. Twenty dwellings were demolished and over fifty persons were injured, some of whom will probably die.
