TORNADO KILLS 10 NEAR HOT SPRINGS.

FARMERS PERISH IN RUINS OF THEIR HOMES.

Little Rock, Ark., Nov. 25. -- Ten persons are known to be dead, one man is believed to be buried in the ruins of his home and about thirty are injured, some probably fatally, as the result of a tornado that swept through the thickly settled farming country a mile east of Hot Springs this afternoon.
Several houses were demolished. All the dead and injured were farmers.
The city of Hot Springs suffered no damage and none was injured within its limits, although early reports said that the southeastern part of the resort had suffered severely.
This information was brought to Little Rock by passengers on a Rock Island train that reached here shortly after 11 o'clock tonight. All wires to Hot Springs are out of commission.
Practically all the dead were killed by the collapse of their homes. They were:
MRS. GEORGE TANNER.
MRS. PAUL CANADA.
MRS. A. J. CROWDER and three children.
BROOKSIE DAVIS, a negress.
Three Negro children, unidentified.
MRS. TAANNER met death when a scantling was driven through her head. MRS. CANADA'S head was severed by flying timbers from the wreck of her home.
A man employed at the farm of CARL HULBERT is missing. The house in which he lived was demolished. It is believed his body is in the ruins.
MRS. P. HITE is in a Hot Springs hospital and is believed to be mortally injured.
