Kansas City, July 29.-A special to the Star from Fort Smith, Ark., says that fifty persons were injured today in a wreck on the Little Rock and Fort Smith railway at Ozark, Ark.

A.F. GANT of Memphis, a traveling man is believed to have been fatally injured.

Several St. Louis and Kansas City people are reported to have sustained injuries.

Of Injuries and Thirty-Eight Are Injured In Wreck.

Iron Mountain Special Is Ditched By Spreading of Rails Near Ozark and a Most Disastrous Wreck Follows-List of the Persons Whose Injuries Will Prove Fatal.

Fort Smith, Ark., July 29.-The Little Rock and Kansas City special on the Little Rock and Fort Smith branch of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern railway, was wrecked at Ozark, forty miles north of here, today, injuring forty-three passengers, five of whom will die. The most seriously injured are:

A.F. GANT, Memphis, two deep scalp wounds.
EDWARD GRIFFIN, baseball player, Little Rock, dangerous internal injuries.
MISS ETHEL HARRIS, cut in the breast.
MISS AGNES WALSH, daughter of Superintendent Walsh, of the Missouri Pacific railway, Nevada, Mo., badly cut in the face.

The wreck was caused by spreading of the rails.
