Phoenix, AZ Helicopter Crash, Aug 1978


Phoenix -- Two persons were killed Monday when a helicopter crashed southwest of Phoenix, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department said. Investigators said the helicopter, owned by Professional Aviation, was rented to Canyon State Communications.
Jim Schultz, Canyon State general manager, said the helicopter took off from the firm's equipment yard about 7:30 a.m. to take repair parts to communications eqipment damaged in last week's storm.
He identified the men aboard as JOHN DISHAROON, 31, the pilot, and LARRY PARCELLS, about 24, an electrician technician.
