Wrangell Men Horribly Burnt
Captain Hans Tideman in Serious Condition as Result of Gasoline Explosion on boat Niagara
Wrangell, Mar. 6-Captain Hans Tideman and Aren Sanvik, of the gasboat North Cape, were brought here today on the gasboat Niagara horribly burned on hands and face as the result of an explosion caused by the upturning of a jug of gasoline used for priming. The injured men had their burns dressed by Drs. Shurick and Wigg and were then taken to Ketchikan on the City of Seattle.
The condition of Captain Tideman is reported to be very serious. The North Cape is a thirty foot boat used got halibut fishing.
